December break & new year plans

I've had a blast getting back into blogging the past two months. Committing to one post every other day has been the way to go, I think, because I've been mostly consistent (minus some unexpected but much needed breaks.) This tells me that I can definitely expect to keep doing this consistently for as long as I feel like it.

Two months of consistent blogging has also given me a great idea of where I want to go from here. There are some changes I'll be making, the most important of which is: posting more art! And I just so happen to have a big cache of old art that I had planned to do things with but never managed to.

So, starting at the beginning of the year, I am going to consistently start mixing in art with the other things that I post. Most of it will be done on software that is fun and interesting to use, but which makes art I can't do much of anything with other than showing it off.

I need to make some minor edits to the cache of art I've got, and I need to refill my buffer of posts before I begin again. That will eat into my blogging time, so I'm sacrificing making posts for the rest of the year in order to be better prepared in January.

I wish you lots of snowflakes/sunshine/rain (depending on what climate you live in), and a very wonderful new year!

Knotwork: Cats!

I've been wanting to go beyond just knotwork, and add in figures to my drawings. Cats seem to fit well.

Celtic art: Swirling Christmas Trees

Spiraling into the winter holidays at the end of 2016 seems like an appropriate thing to depict on the first day of December.
